Subnautica 2 Experimental Branch Is Now Live

Early Access Testing

You can now opt-in to the Experimental branch on Steam and Xbox to preview Subnautica 2 content before it hits the main release. This is a dedicated testing space for finding bugs early, so expect instability.

Branch Guidelines

• Save Data: Experimental saves are isolated and incompatible with the main game version.
• Update Cadence: Unlike previous titles, updates here will arrive shortly before major releases.
• Access Methods: Use the Steam beta tab or the Xbox Insider Hub to join the program.

Everything else is just standard infrastructure setup for pre-release testing. A necessary step for a cleaner official launch.
