Free Grand Theft Auto V upgrade to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S
Ready to take your Los Santos experience to the next level? Players can now upgrade their copy of Grand Theft Auto V to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S versions to take advantage of enhanced performance and visuals.
PlayStation Upgrade
If you own the digital or physical version on PS4, head to the GTAV product page in the PlayStation Store to download the upgraded version.
- Physical disc owners: You must keep your disc in the console to verify ownership.

Xbox Upgrade
Digital owners can download the enhanced version directly via the Xbox Store product page. Please note that physical disc owners on Xbox cannot upgrade to a digital version due to platform limitations.
To install on your console:
1. Open My Games and Apps.
2. Select Full Library and then Owned Games.
3. Select Grand Theft Auto Online (Xbox Series X|S) and choose Install.
