Battlefield 6 is shifting into high gear with the upcoming 'Top Gun' collaboration on August 18 and a massive content drop slated for Season 5. These updates aim to address community desires for better social tools and map variety.

• Custom Lobbies: Hosts gain control over teams and settings plus 🟢 Spectator Mode.
• Proximity Chat: Testing kicks off in September to improve squad and local coordination.
• Season 5: Three new maps and major reworks for Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City.
• Server Browser: Planned for Season 5 to help fix bot-heavy matchmaking issues.

Everything else includes upcoming Platoon tools and ongoing netcode refinements. Finally, the devs are focusing on the social and map features we have been begging for.
